If you use dryer sheets to soften your clothes and eliminate static cling, you'll want to take note of this laundry tip.

It seems that the coating on the dryer sheets will build up on your dryer lint tray. Everyone knows that you need to clean the lint tray of your clothes dryer between loads. But have you ever thought that there would be build up on the lint tray from the use of dryer sheets?

Take the clothes dryer lint tray to the sink and run water over it. If there is build up, the water will pool up on the lint tray and not run through the screen freely. Take an old toothbrush and hot soapy water and wash the lint tray. This is something that should be done about every six months.

This build up could cause dryer units to catch! Cleaning off the dryer lint tray is a great way to keep your dryer working for a very long time and to keep your electric bill lower. Well worth the little bit of effort to clean that lint tray off from time to time!

Heart at home,
Meg

Growing your own vegetables...Plan ahead

With Spring just around the corner it's not too late to start planning a vegetable garden.

The most rewarding part of growing a vegetable garden is the edible bounty it yields.
